Seldon Powell's funky "Messin'" and Profile's "99 Baseball" are drivers here. Pulled off of Bernard Purdie's short lived jfunk indie label "Encounter".
Young Men is a great downtempo rip up of the Who's Young Man Blues. LA Getaway was a late 60's Los Angeles supergroup that released one album. About as good as rock could get.
Although he only released two albums, I consider Paul Pena to be an extraordinary talent. Wait On What You Want is taken from his second album New Train which was not released until 25 years after being recorded in the early 70's.
